DANNY BOY

BY LISA FORGET AND CHRIS BARILLARO  (Montreal)

MERTON OF THE MOVIES

BY DONALD BRENNER AND DOUG KATSAROS  (New York)

This new musical comedy was part of a pre-production workshop held at CETM in March, 2014.  It has been brought back for an encore with the cooperation of Mainstreet Musicals and the authors.

It’s the story of Merton Gill, an obscure clerk at a general store who dreams of a career making serious art films.  He gets discovered by a beguiling actress and becomes a movie star.  But not exactly the genre he expected!

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26

FREE activity as part of Les Journées de la culture

5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

NUITS D’ART

This event brings together different artistic disciplines to create a platform designed to launch emerging performers and designers.  Three activities have been brought together to celebrate Quebec Culture Days (Les Journées de la culture).

BY MICHEL GARON

WITH JEAN-ALEXANDRE CÔTÉ

A dramatic through-line gives new meaning to classic songs from the 60’s.

This exploration in musical theatre form takes its inspiration from operetta and the jukebox musical.  The storyline follows a couple of ex-pat Quebecers living in New Jersey in the 1960’s.
